Great Public Schools Now (“GPSN,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through gpsnla.org, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you contact us through the site, sign up for updates, apply to or nominate someone for a program such as LA Leads!, or make a donation, we collect the information you provide. That typically includes your name, email address, phone number, organization, and any message you send us. Donations may also involve billing information, which is handled by our payment processor rather than by GPSN directly.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect limited technical information when you visit: IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visits. We use cookies and similar technologies to support site functionality and to understand how the site is used.
Information from third parties. If you interact with GPSN through a social media platform or a third-party event or donation tool, that provider may share information with us in accordance with their own policies and your settings.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to respond to your questions and messages; send newsletters, research findings, event invitations, and other updates you have asked for; process and acknowledge donations and meet related recordkeeping obligations; review applications and nominations for GPSN programs; understand how the site is used so we can improve it; and comply with applicable law.
We do not sell your personal information.
How we share information
Service providers. Vendors who work on our behalf — email platforms, donation processors, website hosting, analytics providers — receive only what they need to perform their work, and are expected to protect it.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others.
With your direction. If you ask us to share your information — for example, to connect you with a partner organization — we will do so.
Analytics and cookies
We use analytics services to understand site traffic and usage patterns. These services set cookies and collect information such as pages visited and time on site. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings; doing so may affect how parts of the site function.
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all sites using the browser add-on Google provides for that purpose.
If you subscribe to updates from GPSN, every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also ask to be removed at any time by writing to info@gpsnla.org.

You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct information that is inaccurate, delete information we no longer need to keep, or stop sending you email.
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, including the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. As noted above, GPSN does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Children’s privacy
The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Data security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our site links to reports, partner organizations, and other third-party sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their policies.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted on the site.
